My 8 days in Melbourne and Barwon Heads on the Bellarine Peninsula was just delightful. It is an interesting area with river and coast, and reminded me a bit of the McLaren Vale area of South Australia with rolling hills inland and wine growing close by. There are so many terrific cafes, produce stores and wonderful restaurants to visit. However, my favourite was JACK RABBIT. It is not easy to find if you don’t know where you are going as it is down a dirt track just out of Drsydale. However, it is certainly worth the effort.
Posh restaurant, great cafe, wine cellar door and views to die for.

Barwon Heads, Queenscliff and other small towns in the area are really worth a visit.

This is a great example of a butcher who has taken things to the next level.
